![]() Then, you can preview the captured file and save it to your computer. Once done, click the Stop button to stop recording. Step 4 Start recording the screen on Firefox by clicking the REC button. If you also want to capture the audio, you can choose to turn on system sound, microphone or both. Step 3 Based on your needs, you can adjust the recording area, and enable webcam to create picture-in-picture effect. You can then get a link that easily shared with students.Step 2 After launching it on your computer, choose the Video Recorder mode to record a video. Your videos are automatically stored there, if you use Google Drive. Another great feature is that it links and syncs with your Google Drive. In a way, this allows you to be more than one place at once! Beyond that, you can add graphics on the screen while recording (including lines, circles, etc.), which can draw attention to certain parts of your presentation for the students. This can be used to "flip" the classroom, frontload with information, students who are out sick, for small groups that are working on different topics, differentiation, or for centers activities. First, you have the ability to create videos of your screen (with or without your headshot). Pros: Screencastify is a phenomenal and easy to use tool for teachers and students! It has so many great features. So we would highly recommend checking out Screencastify if you haven't already. And then we would be able to post the link and share that so that students would always have access to the lectures going on, so they're not missing out on what's going on in the classroom. So for any teachers or school districts that are currently working with students who are virtual or quarantined, we found that Screencastify really was the best method to be able to record lessons in the classroom, even if you have in-person students and face-to-face classes currently. The fact that they save right within Drive and so just with a little bit of practice, teachers found it very easy to be able to implement and use. They loved being able to have access to all of their videos in one place. Teachers easily signed up for their accounts, logged in with Google. So with Screencastify, as a technology team, we created some tutorials just to get started, letting them know that they could use it from their desktop, but also use it as an extension within their Chrome browser. We noticed that there were some changes with the free and the premium version of Screencastify and so personally, I recommended that we upgrade to the premium tools of Screencastify, just so we could have access to all of the amazing editing options within the software. We found that it was easy to be able to edit the videos, to be able to upload them, share them through Drive, Google Classroom, wherever we needed to. Screencastify was very user-friendly for both our teachers and our students for creating screencasts from either at school or from home. And overall, when we went through our last year with COVID and virtual learning and hybrid learning, we really wanted to find a tool that was reliable for teachers to be able to create their screencast and share those with students and we found that Screencastify was the best choice for our teachers in our district. We had a lot of teachers using other screencasting software, Screencast-O-Matic, Loom, some other different software tools. ![]() And if you'd like more information and more reviews, click the link below. ![]() I would give Screencastify five stars out of five. ![]() But more jobs requires an expansion pack. The first three jobs you get to travel with your sim. Your Sim can have many jobs like: Detective, Doctor, Scientist, Chef, Entertainer, Tech Guru, Artist, Writer, and some more. The features I love on this game are awesome! Your Sim has emotions: Happy, Inspired, Confident, Flirty, Energetic, Playful, Angry, Tense, Uncomfortable, Depressed, Sad, Embarrassed, Dazed, and I think some more. I'd recommend watching a video with them in it. And while I'm on the subject of death, the animations for it aren't gory at all! While it's possible for your Sim to die of fire or electricity, the animation is very cartoon-like. There's no swearing in the Sims at all, but there is a lot of consumerism! It's a life-simulator, so you have to buy houses, furniture, food, and entertainment to keep your Sim alive. There are also bars, lounges, and night clubs in this game, but I've never had a Sim get drunk, and it's pretty much just like being at a party! It's true they do remove their clothes in the shower and bath, but a large mosiac-type blur covers them from their shoulders to their knees. In fact, Sims can't have any sort of romantic relationship at all without the player instructing them too. This probably means I would be more comfortable with stuff like this than a kid who has never been talked to about that sort of thing.Īnd on that matter, your kid is the one who controls their Sims, so the Sims can't "do the do" without your kid's permission first. I don't think there's too much sex, since nothing ever shows! I've been taught what sex was at an early age, most likely because I grew up as the youngest in my family. It demonstrates perfect cause-and-effect. Personally, I think it shows a great deal about being able to pay bills, keep a job, and make good decisions. I was still fine with it then, but I never really got to play it. I've been exposed to the game since I was at least eight or nine. I bought the Sims early last year, and it was completely fine for me. ![]() I hope this review helped you make your decision! ![]() If your kid really wants to play Sims 4, but you think they're too young, let them watch some age-appropriate Youtube videos, or let them download the Sims 4 Create A Sim Demo, so they can play around with it and learn to play the game. But if you're not sure, a good idea would be to watch a Youtube video on Sims 4, on an age-appropriate channel, such as Thinknoodles, and get to know a little about the game. If they're immature, or they don't know about "The birds and the bees", then maybe they should wait until they're twelve or thirteen. However, since they still are pretty young, I would recommend popping in every once in awhile and say, "Hey, what are you doing right now?" Just to make sure they aren't doing anything inappropriate. If your kid is responsible and mature, ten or eleven would probably be a good age for them to start playing this game. The Sims 4 can be a very fun game, and if your kid is mature enough, they'll probably enjoy it.
